Ep #64: Piloting the Studio

July 27th, 2009 by davidtheday

The guys from Studio Pilot were in our studio today, and gave us some great acoustic jams. We also realized our potential for setting up recording sessions with limited equipment. These guys had 3 vocalists, 2 guitars, and a keyboard. Until this episode, Not Tonight Josephine (from the last episode) had the biggest recording setup, but we had remembered to tell them to bring some extra mics and cables. Oops! :) But listen to these guys, great stuff!!!

We talked about the Nazi Bell Project in mysteriousnesses, in which David the Day got to exercise his männlich German accent, ja.

Corporate Jerod’s nickname of the week: J. Lemonade

Ep #48: Corporate Jerod Loves Facts

April 6th, 2009 by davidtheday

Corporate Jerod was full of fun facts for the whole family during mysteriousnesses this week. They were all factually sound too, which is one of his strong suits. John J also told us a bunch of lies about the Tunguska incident in Siberia in 1908 (the date is probably wrong, because John is a compulsive liar.)

Dana White had some choice words about some whore journalist, and we’ve got the exclusive clip.

Endless Mike also led us through a charming return of the Mental Challenged Challenge.

Ep #37: Sharp like Cheddar

January 19th, 2009 by davidtheday

Nik Sharp from One Night Crush played some awesome acoustic tracks for us.He discussed his hatred of small creamer packs for coffee, and his first ever concert with MC Hammer.

Corporate Jerod’s hair disappeared, but he still discussed the brave, young enforcer of the law who executed a perp, taking justice into his own hands!

We also had a lovely round of Mental Challenged Challenge Academy Awards Edition!

Ep #36: Doctor, Doctor!

January 12th, 2009 by davidtheday

There’s no doctor in the house, but we all did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Why are we talking about doctors? You’ll see how we start the show off…

We played some great music this week, two bands of which we saw this last weekend at “A Reason to Rock” concert benefiting Parkinson’s research.

Our friends Variety Workshop have a CD release party coming up this Saturday @ Big Shots in Clearwater, Florida so check out their myspace for details: myspace.com/varietyworkshop

And also Tom Hanks called in to talk about the Money Pit for Mysterousnesses.

Ep #34: Nice Table

December 29th, 2008 by davidtheday

So there were discussions of certain tables. We won’t get into that here, but listen and see what we mean. Stuey B delivered his thoughts about last Saturday’s UFC fight, and we reminisced about our Xmases.

And ladies, don’t listen to the guy under weirdo of the week…shave, okay? Corporate Jerod also fell asleep during the show, and we have pictures (coming soon).

Ep #25: Man, What a Dick Cheney

October 27th, 2008 by davidtheday

So Something Planet has a new trophy. Some guy gave John J some trouble at the bar the other night, so he exacted revenge Something Planet style. Let’s just say a Cheney mask in the hand is worth more than one of George W. Bush.

We’ve had 4 people disrespect us in some way in the last week or so, so we took some time to talk about them. Including the crazy chick Nadia from Craigslist (as if we didn’t see that one coming). We can’t give out her information due to that whole defamation of character thing, but we know you’d help us bash her if you could :) Add David the Day to your MySpace to view the post he talked about that sparked such a negative response–it’s in his “About Me” section.

As always we found some really awesome bands to include on the show, including Soulfound who’s show we went to over the weekend. They are one of the most energetic bands I’ve ever seen. Ivan loses about 5 pounds in water weight from how much he sweats during the set. We also had Rachel Goodrich; Brook Pridemore; and our friend and street team member, Chelsea Tobey

True Colors

We found this in our hatemail e-mail box, which is: hatemail@somethingplanet.com

Enjoy, it appears to be John J, Endless Mike, and Corporate Jerod as robots, and rainbowy.
